What Live Gaming Actually Looks Like Here
Grey Rock Casino is located on Madawaska Maliseet First Nation territory, right off the Trans-Canada Highway near Edmundston, New Brunswick. This is a fully land-based property: no online casino, no remote betting, no streaming tables. Everything happens face to face, on the gaming floor, with real people and real chips.
We keep the doors open seven days a week from 10:00 AM. From Sunday to Thursday the casino closes at midnight, while on Friday and Saturday the action keeps going until 2:30 AM. There is no admission fee at the door, you do not need a membership card, and there is no formal dress code hanging over you. You walk in as you are and head to the games you want.
It is worth setting expectations before you drive out thinking you will see a full spread of live table games. At the moment Grey Rock does not offer live dealer blackjack or roulette. Officially those tables are unavailable right now, although the property has left open the possibility of bringing them back at some point. What we do run - and what pulls in most table players - is a dedicated, fully live poker room.
The Poker Room
The Grey Rock poker room operates from Wednesday to Sunday in the evenings, opening at 6:00 PM and running through to 2:30 AM. Two main formats are regularly in the mix:
| Game Format | Stakes | Schedule |
|---|---|---|
| No-Limit Texas Hold’em | $1/$2 | Wed - Sun, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM |
| Limit Texas Hold’em | $2/$4 | Wed - Sun, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM |
These are live cash games in the traditional sense. You sit at a real table, handle chips, and play against other players in the room. Nothing is electronic or simulated in this space. If your focus is live poker at Grey Rock Casino, this room is exactly what you are coming for.
Getting a seat is straightforward. There is no online pre-registration system and no requirement to carry a player card. You arrive at the casino, confirm at the entrance or with staff that you are at least 19, locate the poker room on the floor, and speak with the team running the games. If there is an open seat in the game you want, you can sit down. If the table is full, we put your name on the list in order. Once you buy in for the stakes you choose, you are part of the action.
One small practical tip that really applies to almost any poker room in Canada: if it is your first time, showing up earlier in the evening usually means a shorter waiting list and a calmer room to ease into. It sounds obvious, however in practice it can make the whole visit smoother.
Electronic Tables and the Rest of the Floor
Outside of the poker area, the main casino floor includes electronic table games. These are digital versions of blackjack, roulette and similar table formats. Here you do not interact with a live dealer. Instead you place your bets and make decisions on a touchscreen terminal, which has its own pace and feel but is there every day during our normal opening hours.
Grey Rock has also signed a Letter of Intent with Jackpot Digital to introduce the Jackpot Blitz multi-player electronic table platform. That agreement shows that the casino is actively investing into its table game technology, not simply freezing things where they stand. How important that is for you depends on how you like to gamble, but it is a concrete move toward more modern electronic tables rather than a placeholder promise.
Alongside the tables, the gaming floor carries over 200 slot machines covering different styles and denominations. There is also a regular bingo schedule running as part of the entertainment mix. For a regional casino of this scale, that combination of slots, bingo and electronic tables is a normal, solid line-up. We are not a Las Vegas resort or a vast mega-floor, but there is more than enough to fill an evening out.
